On the original piano forte covered with cymbals, supporting and other subservient objects, Nicolas Cante has added John Cage’s preparations and then stuffed this instrument with captors capable of sampling in real time its tiniest vibrations. Here he is now, in the middle of the dance floor, dressed in army fatigues, ready to take on the cabled monster by himself. Whether its the man or the machine that will win we don’t know. Euphausia 0.1 is a participative installation developed by Djeff Regottaz and Sÿclo. It offers visitors the opportunity of generating visuals through the use of mobile phones. It was created at during an artist residence set up by M2F Créations during the GAMERZ festival at the Maison Numérique du Patio in Bois de l’Aune. Hoping to occupy spaces open to the public, M2F Créations and Seconde Nature have invited this project into the heart of the town centre of Aix.
